Terms of Reference

For handy reference the proposed terms of reference are reproduced below: Subject to discussion when the working group is formed the Terms of Reference is as follows:

1. Document as far as possible all national guidelines of whatever status (ie statutory, advisory, specific to large utilities, etc) which are relevant to the seismic assessment of dams and including systems of hazard rating.

2. Document available information on seismic hazard throughout Europe.

3. Collect information relating to each country's approach in relation to other industries with similar wide societal risk impacts.

4. Present an overview of current practice in compare and contrast form with detailed bibliography and publish in appropriate form.
